About Me

Oooh, let me tell you how great I am...no, really...I've been writing and performing since 2001. I've performed at festivals including Rise, Glastonbury, Ashton Court, Sunrise Celebration, Secret Garden Party, Green Man, The Big Chill, Shambala and Burning Man, and at venues including The Jazz Cafe, Ministry Of Sound, SE One, 93 Feet East, Shunt, Cargo, Thekla and The Spitz plus some others in New York, Paris, Budapest, San Francisco, Czech and Jerusalem. What else? Hmmmmm....
In 2007 I started MCing for Origin FM (www.originfm952.com). Also, for a few years I've been combining MCing with youthwork and now I run loads of workshops and informal education programmes in schools, community centres and youthgroups, helping young people deal with their own issues better thru developing their creativity by writing & performing their own lyrics, songs, poems and other cool stuff like painting, plays and films too...
Also in 2007 I set up Psychosemitic, an events & education agency that focuses on bringing together Muslim, Jewish & Middle Eastern peoples for all kinds of cultural and educational programmes, from raves, hip hop nights, film screenings, graffiti jams to poetry slams and school workshops - for more info see www.psychosemitic.com or myspace.com/psychosem.
Finally, the Creator has blessed me to meet and collaborate with some truly wonderful souls to found a unique Muslim-Jewish hip hop & poetry collective with Mohammed Yahya, The Tzadik and a rhythm section comprising a bunch of the most talanted musicians ever to exist. This new super-beast is called Lines of Faith and you can check some of our tracks right here, and more on the band's very own page...blaaaaaah!
