As far as me personally, I value kindness, love, strength, hardwork, and balls. Don't care for things superficial or contrived. Often I don't care for much more than a small circle of close friends. I'm most happy when I am in the company of that small circle, my family, and my girlfriend, and not in that particular order or combination. A close second is overcoming that which scares me or intimidates me or just being challenged and/or winning. I don't fear, or sometimes even mind, defeat though - everything is to be learned from.
As far as me professionally, just graduated... I am going to be an aircraft structures mechanic for a year, which is what I do in the reserves. Although I've thoroughly enjoyed school, I am looking forward to the change these plans bring. Have to admit, however, that I am going to really miss my family, girlfriend and friends while I am off alone and living in hotels for the next year. It's a healthy sacrifice though. Removing yourself from your comfort zone from time to time is the only way to keep your wits sharp and always serves to enrich you as a person: "If you never get lost, you never get found...." Plus the work is awesome, and it'll be nice to do some traveling on the governments dime. The most important advantage is that it allows me the opportunity to take a break from academia so that I start law school nice and refreshed next fall - I plan on hitting it hard.
