About Me

Ben Pezzner began playing the piano at the age of 5 and the cello at the age of 11. He took private weekly lessons until moving to San Diego for college, where he studied Electrical Engineering and Music. Growing up in Kingston, PA and later in Irvine, CA, he played with a variety of string orchestras, jazz ensembles, and musical orchestras, playing the piano, cello, and various percussive instruments. In college, he picked up the guitar, violin, harmonica, flute, and banjo. He also helped start an a cappella group which became very successful.
Ben has guested with a wide variety of bands with an even wider variety of musical styles, including rock, jazz, country, hip-hop, and much more. Ben also performs on his own in the style of Bobby McFerrin, Marcus Eaton, and Tim Reynolds. He uses his looping pedal to play multiple instruments while singing at the same time.In his spare time, he enjoys recording his own music with his various instruments, as well as collaborating with other musicians. He also enjoys hiking, snorkeling, swimming, biking, and of course, learning new instruments.
Ben Pezzner is currently finishing up his Electrical Engineering degree at UCSD and playing music on the side. Although the future holds many possibilities, he hopes that the path he ultimately takes includes as much music as possible.
