Rob Tobias

About Me

Bravely blending dick jokes and politics, Rob Tobias exemplifies the "low-budget music with punchlines" genre. He's also extremely good at describing himself in the third person.
Rob was born in Hollywood. The one in Florida. He was then raised on a farm, thus giving him a good retort whenever he leaves the door open.
At the age of 15, Rob began a close relationship with Jesus Christ. At the age of 18, they broke up because Jesus was cheating on him with roughly 80% of the population of the United States.
Rob got his first break in the music world at the age of 18 playing bass guitar for a band called KEEP. This band was thrown out of some of the finest venues in Florida until he left the band in 2000 to finish his schooling at the University of Florida.
In 2002, Rob earned a degree in Computer Science, which explains why he didn't lose his virginity until age 19. He worked to institute Campus Preacher Parody Day at the University every April 1 from 2002 to 2004. At this time he wrote a song called "I Love Jesus" about his intimate and highly sexual relationship with Jesus Christ. This launched his solo career.
Songs such as "These Are (The) Things" and "I Don't Like Hitler" immediately shot him straight up to the low end of the middle of the pack of the Gainesville music scene. He now performs these highly sexually appealing songs in weekly shows at Coconuts Comedy Club along with occasional other performances in the North Florida area.
In late 2006 Rob became infatuated with nerdcore rap and began a metamorphosis into mCRT. Some might think that's "MC RT", like his initials, but it probably stands for "Motherfuckin' Cathode Ray Tube", or "My Cock Rips Teenagers" or something like that.
