I've wondered why so many viewers, nationwide, both men and women, still recognize me by face, name, and voice and share their feelings with me about my experience on Average Joe: Hawaii. I've come to the conclusion that the "regular guy" is under-represented on TV. Average Joe: Hawaii dealt with many real life issues that everyone has experienced. Viewers watched a regular guy date the girl, confront bullies, and deal with constant change and challenges during filming the program. The feedback that I've received from viewers is that they all identified and related with me. Many viewers have told me that they felt that they were watching themselves or one of their friends when they watched me. Viewers had a REAL emotional investment because they lived through me as they watched the show. It truly is a unique experience!..
