In July of the year 2003, four unacquainted guys ended up alone in a bar, with closing time drawing near. Two of them, being Berry Hoogveldt (vocals/guitar) and Sander van Baalen (drums), already had a history together playing in a combo named The Spades, and had spent their post Spades period playing some tunes, accompanied by several different bass players during a short period of time. Actually these guys were the ashes of Holland's infamous The Lovesteaks, still having some of the Lovesteaks' songs in their repertoire...Though rehearsing regularly, and adding new songs to their set, they still weren't satisfied with the way the band was headed...New blood was needed in order to give it that final swerve...
Luckily for them, that night in the bar proved the turning point. Having listened to an argumentative discussion, a guy known as Slim Lemouchi is having at the end of the bar with the bartender, concerning The Misfits being faded out before the end of the song, they offer him a drink. Finding out he's a lad playing guitar for many years in as many bands (Urban Conflict, Red King Rising and Maypole amongst others), they start talking about musical interests, and an existing gap in rock music which has to be filled in...They appear to have enough corresponding motivations, to try and team up in order to fill that gap...A little while later, the fourth guy present, Mr. J.J. Slijk, at that time slobbering away at another Scotch, flips a coin in the jukebox playing a Hank Williams song, which draws the attention of the other three...
J.J. appears to be a broken hearted, down and nearly out man, seeking comfort in playing likewise tunes. Having played in bands such as Junior Marvel and Bugaboo Tang, he's very delighted as the three offer him refuge in the form of completing the line-up as a bass player.
