Greetings, we are Shot To Pieces. We are from Pennsylvania, better yet, Lancaster County, PA surrounded by Amish, shoofly pie and corn, but somehow we manage to make brutal music. Shot To Pieces originally began back in October 2005 with 4 kids who knew nothing about metal, and the band has gone through many lineup changes since then.
The 2 remaining original members are Guitarist Darren Carney and Drummer Evan Shubrooks who have whethered it all and it finally paid off when the band played their first show at Kohl Fest on May 13, 2006. From there the band took off at a pretty rapid pace, getting noticed by local promoters and recording a 5 song demo less than a month after their first show. The band has transformed over the last two years, as they have played with national acts such as Behemoth, Three Inches of Blood, Becoming The Archetype, Cattle Decapitation, Recon, Terror, Earth Crisis, With Blood Comes Cleansing, Dance Club Massacre, and more.
Believe or not, after their departure of their last rhythm guitarist, the band agreed to stay a 4 piece band. The sound you hear is 4 guys. The band is now made up of Darren Carney on guitar as well as backing vocals, Evan Shubrooks on Drums, Mike Ross on Bass, and Nick Fidler on Vocals. The group has been this same lineup since mid 2007, with a few lineup changes, but the band still remains the same
Shot To pieces just rapped up recording their 4 song EP titled "The Darkening Of An Age" which is expected to hit local stores and Itunes late June 2008. Which showcases some of the bands most impressive skills and has people comparing them to bands such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Born Of Osiris, All Shall Perish and more. The band is currently searching for a label and has plans in the works for summer touring and a full length Cd by the end of 2008. Keep your eye on Shot To Pieces, they're coming and they are a force to be recon with.
