It was a battle competition but the Greez did a piece that he had wrote not concerned with winning but wanting his lyrics to be a milepost introduction into the Portland hip-hop scene. Mr. Greezy's second show was in November of 2002 at the Tonic Lounge he opened for a funk-Rock band called "The Freemartins", (www.TheFreemartins.com) He performed a six song set including the underground hits "Mr. Greezy", "Hiztory Lezzon", "Get Some", and the popular hit "Strip Club Ballin'" Clue Green kept the whole scene live with his comedic wit and massive energy. Clue Green was originally part of the "Touch Of Class Crew" that originated from Grant High school in 1988, That's when he first broke out into the Portland hip-hop scene. Clue's brother is also involved in certain hip-hop circles in Florida. Mr. Greezy first started b-boying' and graff-writin' at age 6. In 87-88 the Greezareeno was a Ockley Green Dragon (7th grade) performing in the school's talent shows with his best friend Kool Will, The kids in the burb that Greezy moved to were spoon-fed, rich kids with no idea what it was like to go without electricity or to go without a phone, or to except the fact that handouts was sometimes the only means of survival. Because of this Greezy didn't mesh well with most of the kids at his high school. Halfway through Greezy's freshman year, a senior at the school (Jason Black) that also came from Portland, met Greezy and put him down with his D.J. crew "The G-Men". Jason gave Greezy the opportunity to get familiar with the microphone announcing at pep-rallys, sock-hops, and guest assemblys. After a while Gettin' on the mic to deejay was the only reason he went to school. By his junior year he landed himself in the school district's "alternative program" but by his senior year (94), he was a G.E.D. grad and dam proud of it to. At this time the big Greez had worked with several local artists and producers, but never had complete creative control. Most engineers said his beats were to abstract or had a "east coast" sound and because of this after many trials and tribulations he cutt-off all ties with people he was trying to produce for, and started writing his own rhymes to his own beats. Now in 2007 Greezy is heading his own label "Bumpin' Records I.N.C." which was created and founded January 31st 1998, and is well on his way to releasing his first solo debut : "Lonely Language" - A Steriophonic Masterpeice in Hip-Hop muzic" wich will be the second release on the label. The first release was a 12' single called "Have & Have notz" the B-side to the single was called "Ooh La La" the single contained normal versions and radio edits as well. It was produced by Greezy and a producer called "I. Read" who Greezy had formed a production team with called "Heated Productionz" but soon after the single was recorded, fell apart because of creative differences. Now Greezy a.k.a. Jacob Valentino, a.k.a. "The Marvelous" is in full control of this record and it has been a highly anticipated record for quite some time.Get your Mr. Greezy T- Shirt Today, send a message and we will make it happen
