Ok...here's the condensed version ;) I've been a DJ since age 13 and my love of that led my childhood friend, Johnny "D", and I to start up a record label based on the kind of music that we grew up listening to. The label was/is Henry Street Music, responsible for some of the most popular records of the "disco" house genre [The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall Into My Mind), The Funk Phenomena, Brooklyn Beats... etc., etc., etc.] and a stomping ground for some of the biggest names in the house music world. At the same time we also began producing records under many different names (Johnick being the most well known out of the bunch) and did many remixes for various artists such as R. Kelly, Joe, Changing Faces and Robin S. to name a few older one's and Tamia, Brandy, Gerald Levert and Tweet as the more recent. I continue to work on many new things at the moment and hope to keep bringing good music that people can appreciate and enjoy always.....in all honesty, it's the only reason that I do it!!!
