About Me

“…The primary settlers of New England were from the old Danelaw, and not from the old Wessex which settled the Virginia colony. It must be stressed that the primary settlers were in fact Angles, from an area northeast from London, and not really Saxons or Jutes…Despite a changing population, much of the original spirit of New England remains. It can be seen in the simple, woodframe houses and quaint white church steeples that are features of many small towns, and in the traditional lighthouses that dot the Atlantic coast. New England is also well known for its mercurial weather, its crisp chill, and vibrant colored foliage in autumn…As a whole, the area of New England tends to be progressive in its politics, albeit restrained in its personal mores due to its Puritan history…After the American Civil War, New England slipped into the same quaintness as Northumbrian north-east England…”

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

anyone who thought "indie" was always a little lame but at least better before it became "post-ironic", people who know that the minutemen are as hardcore as black flag, someone with a historical bent who likes to discuss hardcore, a girl with more to get off her chest than a wet t-shirt, no one who says "xo" a lot.

Also there's been a lot of late night phone conversations (in the good way)
