DIRT

About Me

Dirt formed in 2005
The band very quickly bonded musically and hit the ground running. Where many bands spend a great deal of time in rehearsal before daring to play live, we threw our selves in at the deep end because the live experience is the best rehearsal a band can have.
Whats Happening?
We have just released our first three track demo CD with a view to get the band opportunities in larger venues and broaden our fan base.
The CD contains carefully selected tracks to show our spectrum of sound and diversity of subject matter.
We are currently pushing the CD at our rapidly growing list of live gigs; already we are getting opportunities in some of the UKs larger and respected music venues like the Limelight club in Crewe, the Sugar Mill in Stoke-on-Trent, the Night and Day in Manchester and the Cavern Club in Liverpool. Our CD was recently played at Molineux football ground to twenty five thousand football fans including a selection of band photographs on the large plasma screens during half time.
Dirt are being aired on over one hundred radio stations through Europe and the US. We recently reached number one on a Dutch radio station and also in Texas US. We have also done a few live interviews.
We have supported some major bands such as the LA Guns (Original members of Guns and Roses) and the Dogs DAmour.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: http://www.dirtrock.net
Band Members:
STEVE - Vocals
After recently joining DIRT as the new vocalist, Steve has a whisky-swilling gravel voice that compliments DIRTs raw sound. If you're one of the lucky few, he'll let you lick his head when he's finished singing. mmmmmmm yummy!!!!!

CARSON - Guitar
Carson has a passion for addictive guitar riffs and powerful lyrics. His inspiration for writing is mostly drawn from his own colourful life experiences.

DANNY - Bass
Danny is a unique character with a real flare and stage presence. He understands the benefit of playing bass tightly with the drums to give the most solid rhythm section possible and his onstage enthusiasm is entertainment itself.

STEVO - Drums
Stevo is the driving force behind the band in many ways, from his powerhouse drumming style to organising and managing the bands activities. Stevos drumming gives the band that classic hard edge sound that is so sorely lacking in todays rock bands.
