I'm always thinking one step ahead... like a carpenter who makes stairs. -The Office!!

About Me

I'd like to think that I don't take life or myself too seriously. I'm pretty laid back (maybe too much so). It's not uncommon for me to forgo being productive to have some fun, but that's what life should be about, good times with friends and laughing, not just work.

My Interests

Photography, gender issues, watercolor, politics, comedy (hence my favorite tv shows and person I want to meet... again), reading, movies, rainy days when people finally excuse what they consider to be "lazy" behavior, pjs and thick comfy socks, chocolate (obviously!), music (specifically going to concerts and trying to meet the band afterwards. It's easier than one would think and I don't do anything I wouldn't do with my mother standing next to me! Get your mind out of the gutter) :), I love watching The View (I actually DVR it!! I'm pathetic, but it's a cathartic experience. Sometimes it feels damn good to yell at the tv!) I love cooking and watching the Food Network when I'm too lazy to actually do it. I love daydreaming and planning all of the vacations I hope to take in the not so distant future. I'm dying to go to Savannah, GA, Ireland, and back to Paris. Speaking of that, I love all things French, the language, style, food, atmosphere.

I'd like to meet:

The handsome and hysterical Zach Galifianakis. I met him in September 2005, but once just wasn't enough!! I'd also love to meet Joel McHale because he's so funny, and Jim Halpert's real life counterpart.

Music:

Jack Johnson, Keane, Norah Jones, Michael Buble, 3 Doors Down, Dashboard Confessional, Damien Rice, Anna Nalick, Aqualung, Coldplay, Stephen Fretwell, David Gray, Rachael Yamagata, and Sarah McLachlan

Movies:

Thank You For Smoking, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Royal Tenenbaums, Defending Your Life,The Princess Bride, Tommy Boy, Dumb and Dumber, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, and He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not (Audrey Tautou)

Television:

The Office, Arrested Development... only serious dramas for me ;) Grey's Anatomy, and a few shameless reality shows that I refuse to name. I also enjoy almost everything on the Food Network (I love Paula Deen and Giada's not bad either.)

Books:

Wuthering Heights, Where the Girls Are, The DaVinci Code (Shut up, it's good), and The Great Gatsby

Heroes:

My mother, Ina Garten, Paula Deen, self-made women who follow their passions despite encountering various obstacles. I also adore Diane Keaton... (Annie Hall, need I say more?)

My Blog

I'm in Vegas for New Years!!

Happy 2007!! :)
