Pygment and Reed are two pretty incredible dudes with great potential. They enjoy drinking beer and playing beerpong, as well as watching shows like South Park and The Simpsons. Both possess a uniquely charismatic swagger and have a knack for making hip hop music.
Admittedly, they're hella lazy. But when the two actually get together, they can be very productive and are known to come through with some pretty dope shit. Generally, however, most of their energy is put into the everyday grind of making enough scrilla to live and pay the bills, fill up the tank, go to school, and whatever else it is humans do.
Their story goes back to dawn of the new millennium, when the two met in math class as freshman at Garfield High School. They struck a friendship early on over jokes, clowning around, and finding creative ways of avoiding doing any unnecessary work. In 2002, they recorded their first song in Pygment's basement using what was at their disposal: shareware software, a karaoke mic, and a tape cassette player. They recorded the song in the span of a few hours.
The following summer they invested in better equipment and with help from friends recorded their first album, what is now known as The Journey. They released around 250 copies and distributed them throughout the Seattle area. The album received an overwhelmingly positive response from Seattlites of all walks of life and helped Pygment and Reed establish a small, but loyal following.
They followed up with several unreleased tracks, a music video for a a local independent film (Zack Jackson II 2004), and performances at various local talentshows and colleges. Their music showed promising potential, but the two had to put it on the backburner to pursue other endeavours like making enough scrilla to live and pay the bills etc. They're in the studio now, as time allows, and are working on their very anticipated follow up album.
