The work Produced is driven by an essential need to divulge the emotions residing within myself as a depiction in physical form. The works are executed with the canvas laying flat; this allows the fluid paint to organically flow within the space. The process of application is quick; occurring in response to the jolts of emotional triggers encountered throughout specific turbulent times. The drying process is much more lengthy and requires patience, the landscape of the piece shifting and shaping itself as time ticks along. This entire process from beginning to end mirrors how I navigate my own emotional terrain; often times quickly and chaotically experiencing emotionally tense situations and after the initial shock has subsided I end up spending an exhausting amount of time deciphering, analyzing, and evaluating what I’ve immediately gone through.
