♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥Hello everyone! My name is Ty. I live in Minneapolis which is where I have lived all of my life. I like it here. Its a pretty decent city though I wouldn't pass up a chance to get away for a bit. Its always fun to travel around to meet new people, and to see new places.
My close friends might describe me as someone who is fun & outgoing with a sense of humor. I'll admit, I can also be a bit bold and shameless at times. LOL Around new people I can be kind of shy but quickly warm up. I've met quite a few cool people on here so far and hopefully will meet many more.
One of my favorite things is music. I love many different styles of music, but by looking at my page you could probably figure out who my fave artist is. It was good to see her during her NYC promo tour for 20 Y.O. You can read about it in my blogs. Of all of her projects, RHYTHM NATION 1814 is most important to me. The cd had a great impact on me both musically & lyrically being that it was kind of a bad time in my life. I like to think that it has a lot to do with the kind of person I am today. Not letting petty people or things bring me down. Being able to defend myself in certain situations. Being more open-minded to others who may get looked down upon because I myself know what it feels like to be that person. Being able to speak my mind for both myself AND others when need be. Getting rid of the weaknesses that prevented me from thinking I could become a better person. In general, a stronger person in most areas. Like the phrase goes... its all a "Work in progress" and you have to take things one day at a time.
Finally, its starting to feel like summer again! I've been hitting the gym a lot more lately trying to get into better shape. I need to loose those winter pounds! Now that I have a personal trainer, maybe it will be easier to get to the place that I want to be. Anybody up for a jog @ Calhoun later? ;)
A few other things that I enjoy are time with family, museums, bowling, jogging, oceans, game nights, hot wings, hanging out and going clubbing with friends. Dancing can be fun, but there are many times I wish I knew more people that were not as into the bar scene since I am beginning to get burnt out on it. I've been looking into joining more groups here in town, or possibly taking some classes to make my time more useful and to meet new people.
I like to surround myself with positive minded people, who value others for more than their "outside" appearance. One of the great things about life is being able to experience the many different things and the many different people that are around us everyday for the short time that we are here. I do not understand people who get so caught up in themselves and believe the world is to be the way that they are. Oh what a perfect world it would be if everyone were just like ourselves. Well, they are not. Its not the way it is, and it is not the way that it will be. Ever. You have to deal with it and make the best of the time that you have here. There are far too many valuable friendships and relationships to make on this journey of life that you could not make happen without an open mind.
