I'm from Raleigh Area- We call it Ruff Raleigh to be exact. Not be confused with South Carolina. North Carolina is known for it's Mountains,Piedmont, and Plains. North Cakakolak is known for it's Hoods, burbs, and projects. We drink Soda not pop, we eat subs not hoagies.919 is the shyt!Home to famous athletes like Michael Jordan, Marion Jones, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Tracy McGrady, Julius Peppers, Brad Daugherty, and James Worthy. The list goes on and on. We know the areas as Ruff Raleigh, K-Town (knightdale) G-Town (Garner) Da Zoo or Z-Town (Zebulon) The Dale (Wendale) Da A (Apex) Cary and Durham most ppl scared to go so it don't matter what it's called. All the dudes with suped up cars are hustlers or red neck race car white boys.The blackest mall is Northgate and Crabtree (as said by local bloods Brabtree) RPD is the worst DPD is even worse. To someone u don't like they are "Loc" and someone u screwing on the side is your "swag" and when u Fuk up a word it's "gimme dem" or "gimme dat neck" Instead of whatever it's girl/boy bye! (remember that)Wal-Mart is the spot after 1 am especially the 24 hour one off highway 64 and Newbern. Newbern is the shyt on Saturday and Sunday nights after the club. Cookout, Waffle House, Miami Subs, Shell and 66 is the after parties. Clubs like Limelight moved 5 times and Blackties is not formal and had the 5 dollar membership, Supper Club is not where you eat dinner even though they cook a mean Jerk Chicken. Jilians and Hi 5's was back up plans during the summer. When you left the club you smelled like cigarettes and weed smoke. When Capital Skate was pop'n from seven to eleven. Walking to adventure landing was a troop but errebody did it. Atlantic Springs Carmike cinema was crunk until you had to be 16 after 9pm. It's too many high schools to name but when Southeast Raleigh and Enloe played it was always sold out. When Hillside and Southern played it was always a shootout. After football and basketball games Cookout is where it's at. (Newbern or Capital don't matter) Back in the day before you could get in the club the MASONIC Temple was it.It was hot as hell but we partied until 3 or more fights happened or Mike Dot said time to go. Or the parties at Sherill's with the hair school stylist chairs and mirrors was pushed to the side and the hood girls layed on boys and showed they could ride. Perms were sweated out and boys down to their beaters. Now Garner Road Y is where you throw parties but you have to pay RPD to be security. Nobody wants to go to Shaw and St. Aug that lives in Raleigh but Errebody and they momma go to A&T, and the few token ones take a chance and go to NCCU. Everybody was pissed when the Aggie Eagle Classic was canceled but when it back in effect it's gonna be sold out fa sho! Nobody goes to the fair to ride the rides they go to eat and watch the fights. We don't ride the metro or the subway. We take risks by riding the CAT bus or the DATA. Yeah new fashion ideas get down here late but atleast we wear colors that match and won't get us caught if we gotta run from 5 oH. We don't make up our own clothes we buy from Abdu and Hussan at Fashion Ave,Casanova, and Chosen Image. When your pockets low you run to the flea market on the weekends. You can see fake Jordans here and there but from up North is where they are brought from. We dress preppy from AE and A&F rock polo by Ralph Lauren and Lacoste. Sperry's on your feet is just as common as Rainbows in the heat.NC is known for Our many colleges the best in the ACC. NC State (parties) UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, popular schools like UNCG and UNCC. Party schools like ECU and champions like App State. HBCU's Shaw,St. Aug, NCCU, A&T, Bennet,Elizabeth City, Fayetteville State, And WSSU. that hold the best of the best. Yeah we gotta country talk and a thug in our walk. We rep dat Durty South all day. If you don't like us don't come our way. Yeah you at our schools and in our town pop'n some shit and you'll get layed down. Go back home if you don't like our southern nest. Don't fuck with Raleigh Area NC we don't take no mess.
