Video games, movies - either watching or making them, sports (duh, it's my job), death metal (real metal like Pantera, Slayer and Cannibal Corpse). Skating - just need to learn more tricks (shame my teacher's off to the army and it's always crappy outside, though).
Meeting new people would be cool, but really, right now all I want is my best friend back home
Metal. From the seriously brutal, guttural death metal bands to the blazing fast thrash metal to the cheesy 80s hair metal - although Pantera is easily my favorite band. I also like pretty much anything out of the 80s, some classic rock - although radio stations in this area have soured me on it a bit from over-exposure - and classical. Mix classical, opera and metal and you get the band Nightwish, and they're another of my favorites. It's sad, though, that the best metal band out right now is a fake one from a cartoon - Dethklok from the show Metalocalypse. I respect any musician that plays an instrument and writes their own music and lyrics (sorry rappers, drum machines and poetry don't count), but I'd still listen to some old Public Enemy or 2 Live Crew before I'd listen to country hehe. Also can get into some old punk bands like the Ramones or Sex Pistols, but no posers like Blink 182 or Greenday.
Horror movies. A Nightmare On Elm Street was the first movie I ever saw, and it's been my favorite ever since (maybe that explains some things...) If it's a horror movie I've seen it. Remakes of horror movies can go straight to hell, except Dawn of the Dead - that was a nifty remake. Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Amityville Horror, though? Absolute garbage. See the originals. Will watch nearly any movie, although horror is my favorite genre. Also, Silent Hill was AMAZING
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and the spinoff Angel to a lesser degree), Firefly, Rescue Me, Dead Like Me. Everything else good is either on Adult Swim or Comedy Central. Metalocalypse, Korgoth of Barbaria, Boondocks, Robot Chicken, Family Guy, Sealab (well some of them), Harvey Birdman, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Drawn Together. Loved Rock of Love also - Bret Michaels and Poison kick ass haha
1984 - Orwell just missed the year. Big Brother Bush is watching us - how the hell did he win again? Did people not notice how bad he sucked? Man this country blows. For entertainment purposes anything by Clive Barker, H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King (pre-Tommyknockers), and fantasy series - the Dragonlance series by Weis and Hickman and any Forgotten Realms book with R.A. Salvatore's name on it (though it helps if Artemis Entreri's name is inside it). Damn I'm a nerd.
George Romero, Freddy Krueger, Ash, Nathan Explosion, Miko Mido, Randal Graves, Jay, Captain Spaulding, Otis Driftwood
