About Me

In Tulsa Oklahoma around the mid.70’s. after playing locally with the band SCHOOL, I starting to get offers to tour the tri state area. Even though I was still in high school at the time, Joining local Tulsa band FIREHOUSE I toured on & off for the next three years. Then it was on to help form another local Tulsa based rock-n-roll band, LYTHIAS. Doing 80% cover and 20% original songs. For the next four years we toured the U.S. playing clubs, festivals and opening for national artists such as HEAD EAST and KICK AXE. Recording only one release with Lythias I left the project and took a short hiatus from the music business. At the advice of former band mate, vocalist Matt Story, I decided to move to Dallas TX. Touring with my newly reformed Dallas based LYTHIAS II project in the Texas-New Mexico-Oklahoma areas until late 1991. I then hooked up with former Metal Blade Recording Artist - OMEN bassist Jody Henry to help form all original band COLD ETHYL. Releasing only one 7 song live promotional disc and opening shows for STEP CHILD and QUIET RIOT, I left the band in November 1992. I then formed RUFF JUSTICE with friend and former LYTHIAS II band mate, guitarist Mark Kinder. After numerous line up changes we recorded one live album, JUST US, and a limited U.S. studio release WINGS OF DESIRE, followed by a regional tour. Ruff Justice then recorded NO JUSTICE / NO PEACE in early 1995. Which was released and distributed worldwide by Krystal Rose Music and A.R.T. Entertainment. An American tour soon followed to support the new release. After incorporating a new vocalist and a new management company we continued to tour the U.S. before splitting up in June 1996. The following August 1996, I found myself on tour in the U.S. as an independent artist for hire, with (Oklahoma Country Music Association) “Band of the year 1997”, BILLY HOFFMAN and The ASPHALT COWBOYS. Opening for many national artists such as, NEAL McCOY, TOBY KIETH, and CONFEDERATE RAILROAD, and others After a year contract with Billy, I left the band. Once again working as an independent artist for hire. In mid 1997 I joined Ft Worth Texas based Blues Guitarist Paul Byrd to do several shows in the months that followed. In early 1998 I joined St. Louis based rock bands, ROLL-N-THUNDER and BLIND AMBITION. Touring with these two bands over the next four years; I would cover a lot of ground. First, across the Atlantic. Touring Eastern and Western Europe and parts of the Middle East in the early part 1998 with Roll-n-Thunder. Covering countries including, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and Israel. Then it was off to Greenland & Alaska with Blind Ambition in late 1998. June of 1999, I once again on the road with Blind Ambition in Greenland. Then after only three weeks at home in Dallas TX, I left on tour again with Roll-n-Thunder. This time crossing the Pacific, to Asia and the Orient. Covering many countries including, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Okinawa. Upon returning to the U.S. from Asia, in September 1999, I joined up with the 80’s metal styled band, CRY VENUS. Which released one CD single I WANT YOU and toured opening shows for national artist’s such as, WARRANT and LYNCH MOB. After six months with the project, the members each went there own way to pursue different directions in their careers. My direction in July 2000 was to cross the Atlantic once again. This time with Blind Ambition, On the "World Peace Keeping Tour " to the Balkans area of Europe. Covering the countries of Hungary, Bosnia, Germany, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Switzerland before returning to the U.S. in July. November 2000, I was again offered an overseas tour with Roll-n-Thunder. New Years Eve 2000/2001 at the Top Of the World, Thule Greenland. Upon returning from Greenland on January 5th 2001 I hurried back to Dallas, TX to begin rehearsals for the “ In Lamun’s Terms tour “ with the LAMUN BROS. Which started in Tulsa, OK on Jan. 12th 2001. I toured with the Lamun Bros for seven months, headlining clubs, festivals, and concerts. As well as opening shows for such national artist as, EXILE, GARY ALLEN, CHRIS CAGLE and JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY. I came home from the Lamun Bros.Tour in July 2001 for medical treatment on discs in my neck. I have now recovered from two major disc replacement surgeries brought on my years of aggressive drumming.I am married and have a 27 year old Daughter. I like Auto Racing, Hockey and enjoy music of many types.Late 2008. After almost 8 years after my last tour ended abruptly in Wyoming in 2001. I rejoined forces with Long time friend and former 80's Lythias vocalist Matt Story after 22 years, to play drums for the metal band CREEPER. I am still dealing with some past injuries in my neck & low back, but I am BACK!!! and I am Kicking some Ass!!! Currently as of Mid 2009 12 years after Ruff Justice hit its last power cord on tour in Minnesota back in 1996. I have once again fired up Ruff Justice with a new line up and we are working on the new CD now.
