* * * * NEW MIXTAPE --- "First Of A Living Breed" --- FREE DOWNLOAD * * * *Hailing from all over the northeast, the group C-4 came to be during their freshmen year of college at Hofstra University when Alpha, A-Web, Aphillyated and Googie (formerly known as D-Nyce) realized their potential and amalgamated forces under a common bond: The Love for Real Hip Hop Music. The chemistry was instant then, and now after recording together for the last two years, it is evident that the four MCs feed off of each others styles and creativity and share an uncommon cohesiveness in todays self-centered society.Their First Mixtape "C-4 Yourself" which dropped in the spring of 2007 was met with much praise for its diverse, energetic tone and the lyrical prowess that each MC displayed throughout their debuts. But the first mixtape was only a harbinger of the future of hip Hop Music and after opening for Grammy Nominated rapper Lupe Fiasco at Hofstra University, The C-4 movement began putting the finishing touches on their second project: "First Of A Living Breed." Though technically a mixtape, this 13 track compilation feels much more like an album from an established group rather than a second mixtape from a relatively young squad. The Mixtape is available for free download and features more lyrical onslaughts and catchy hooks from the unit who continue to grow and progress in their sound and messages. The mixtape also features heavy production by one of the illest Up and coming producers in the game: HeavyRoc Music’s own Mr. JPatt, who also lends his voice along with his work behind the boards on one of the tape’s standout tracks: "Gotta Hustle."In "The First of A Living Breed," the C-4 movement takes the listener on a journey to the roots of Hip Hop while managing a contemporary sound. Though they stress maintaining a message and clever, intelligent lyrics, The group also realizes that they can make hit records without sacrificing those basics. In a music culture dominated by guns, violence and superficial club songs with no substance behind them, it’s certainly refreshing to hear a promising group of focused and formidable MC’s who have fun doing what they do and whose love for the real hip hop music that is so deeply missed these days, is felt as they make their own. Download the mixtape and C-4 Yourself how the "First of a Living Breed" plan to cultivate the barren landscape of Today’s Hip Hop Scene. Tune into the Future Today!
