My Interests

Music:

Influences:

MY MOTHER...she would always sing to us kids growing up and play her guitar. She introduced us to all kinds of genres of music as well. She not only sang, but is an amazing songwriter. she write beautifully, more than I can imagine. My mother's strength, and beliefs in God, were passed onto me as well as her talent.

OTHER INFLUENCES: Musically, there are so many other influences to count. I feel each artist out there (male or female) has made an influence on me one way or another. Some female artist that may have influenced my voice are Barbara Streisand, Pasty Cline to more recent Martina McBride, Mariah Carey, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, and Alisha Keys to name a few.

Sounds Like:

Shanna plays songs from artist like Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Melissa Ethridge, Pink, Pat Benatar, Celion Dion, Mariah Carey, Alisha Keys, Whitney Houston, Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne, Brian Adams, Evanescence, Susan Tedschi, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Liz Phair, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, and other artists.

IN THE NEWS!! HERE'S WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID ABOUT SHANNA:
"It was something about her stage presence, the power of her voice, the way she worked the microphone and the room and the believability of the story behind the song," Radio Personality Candy O'Terry .

"Judges were most impressed by the powerful voice that emerged from Glassman's petite stature." - By Michelle Laczkoski/Daily News staff GHS Posted May 02, 2009 @ 11:19 PM

"Congratulations to Stars Over Boston winner Shanna Glassman, who killed with Carrie Underwood's "Just a dream". -Hank Morse, 102.5

"...she is a force to be reckoned with, and the next professional country singer" - 102.5

"The local game got off to a great start with Uptons own Shanna Glassman singing the national anthem. Although Mrs Glassman has sung this at many local events, one never fails to get goose bumps each time she performs, as her rendition is quite beautiful and powerful. Even the (Boston) Wizards were in awe of her talent as they acknowledged the wonderful job she did. -MENDON/UPTON TOWN CHOIR April 2008"
