Born in San Diego, California and spending half his life in central Florida, Ben Mattox has spent his life pursuing his passion of creating music. With interests ranging from Rock/Metal to Fusion Jazz, Mattox is well versed in many genres and styles of playing. With multiple of experiences in a number of different bands, studios and possessing a main emphasis on drumming, Mattox has developed him self as a hardhitting player.Mattox has had they opportunity to produce and engineer, a large number of bands and artists. Adding his own innovative touch in the studio Mattox has utilized his ability to play multiple instruments ranging from accordion, Hammond B3, to classical guitar.After he was able to hone his skills and further develop his own personal style of drumming during his 3 years in Nashville, he was land a gig as a drummer for Sonnet to Sleep. Mattoxs style consists of mixing funky beats with aggressive drumming, to create innovative rhythmic patterns.Mattox is currently back home in Florida getting ready to tour with Sonnet to Sleep and awaiting the release of their EP album in April.
