About Me

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean, and nasty place, and it will beat you to your knees, and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you can hit-- it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!

I've been told so many times that I'm loud, obnoxious,and crazy.I have no shame, and if you know me personally, you know that all of the above statements are true :)--Which is why I'm such a blast to hang out with. Anyways,I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Writing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. As much as I love English lit, I was drawn to the psychology field. So now I've just finished graduate school, with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. I'll start counseling people when I feel like it. Right now, I'm focused on theater.
My ultimate passion is acting. When I was a teenager, my dream was to play Lady Macbeth at the Shakespeare Globe Theater in London. I also wanted to be on Broadway. I've realized that I belong on the stage, and have gotten back into theater at the ripe old age of 27! I've been out of it too long, and I miss it! I'm now taking theater courses at Second City, and will soon start auditioning for plays! Life is too short, so go for your dreams! I'm glad I realized it in time! I'm too spontaneous and charismatic for a "normal job". Who knows, maybe you'll see me at Steppenwolf one day!

My Interests

I love shopping,especially for new clothes, so I'm very fashionably enclined.I'm a huge purse whore-- I love Prada and Fendi bags, and I can't get enough of them.I love movies, especially the Rocky films. I enjoy writing in my journal, and have been keeping journals since I was a teenager, and I'm happy to say that I still have every journal that I've ever written in. Going back and reading them is completely unreal. It's like going back in time.
I love barhopping and hanging out with my best gal,and acting completely crazy with her by screwing with peoples' minds,and throwing peanuts at random strangers at our favorite hangout. I love hanging out with John, and I love to dance, read, go to the theater, and travel. I love spending time with my mom, and we do just about everything together. I have killer times going to heavy metal concerts with my brother and sister, and going to WWE Raw with them, and my dad. Oh yes, and I just absolutely adore NYC, London, and Rome. They are the most amazing places I've ever been to.

Are we talking about people on myspace.com? I suppose not. Living or dead? Well anyways, I would love to meet Al Pacino, John Lennon, Jim Morrison and Sylvester Stallone. Now that I think of it....there are a lot of people I want to meet!I'm actually very selective in whom I allow myself to open up to. I've had some bad experiences with people in my past,and because of that, I don't trust people easily. I'm always weary and suspicious of new people. I have an exclusive circle of friends and family, and I don't often allow new people in. I only let in those who I find amazing and real.

I like lots of bands, but my all time favorite are The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles. No other band will ever measure up to them. I also like Nine Inch Nails, Dave Matthews Band, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne,Children of Bodum,Guns 'N Roses ,Alice in Chains, In Flames, Metallilca, Lamb of God, opera music, broadway musicals,and whoever else is currently on my Ipod Touch.

Movies:

I love The Godfather I and II, Scarface,A Beautiful Mind, Titanic,Goodfellas, Casino, and anything with De Niro and Pacino. I LOVE horror movies, but only good, classic ones like The Exorcist, Evil Dead, and Rosemary's Baby. I like cheesy movies that people are ashamed to admit liking, such as 13 Going on 30. Then I love those kick ass action movies like Terminator 2 and True Lies.

Television:

I love The Sopranos, The Simpsons, Family Guy and House

Books:

Shakespeare plays and sonnets, novels by Stephen King, Wally Lamb, Jane Green, and Marian Keyes. I love poetry by Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickinson. Also, classic literature like Vladmir Nabokov's Lolita. I read a lot so just ask me!

Heroes:

Rocky Balboa! He is the greatest character ever created.
