Hello all! Krystin Here, or Ook as some of you know me, short for Ookamiko. I come from the small town of Moses Lake located somewhere in the flat, windy dryness that is Eastern Washington. I dwelled there up until September of 2005 when I moved to Vancouver BC Canada to study Video Game Art and Design at the Art Institute of Vancouver.You can find my Art here http://ookamiko.deviantart.com
Canada is treating me well and I’m set to graduate in March of 2007 if all goes well. And where I go from there will be up to me, I might stay here in Canada, go down under to Australia, traverse back to Japan or even somewhere in Europe, though it’s kind of on my low priority list right now. They get their games way after everyone else does so blah on them.
I’ve accomplished quite a few things in my life, such as traveling to almost all the states west of the Mississippi, two Canadian provinces, and even to Japan where I was an exchange student during the summer of 2002.
I enjoy a variety of sports including volleyball, baseball, bowling and my Canadian friends here tell me I can’t be considered Canadian until I learn hockey and curling.
As many of you probably already know, I love to draw, it’s my life’s passion. I also enjoy reading, writing and photography. I also love Anime and Manga. In my free time I love to walk or bike ride, play music, do some gaming and travel.
I have a wonderful Boyfriend of two years, an insane little brother, My parents and my Dog, Spencer, all of which still reside back in Moses. So for the most part I’m really on my own up here. It’s not so bad, you get used to the bums, hookers and those strange objects they call trees…There’s also this vast thing called an ocean! Fun stuff I’ll tell ya!
Some goals I have are to Return to Japan and visit my host family after I graduate, Further my Japanese language skills, Start my career in the gaming industry, and Finish writing my Trilogy (8 years in the works!!!). As Always,
