Jamming as Kliff McBurtney with Beatallica , I spend my time playing music and helping others to find their own muse. It has not always been so, and I pray those days never return. For now I am thankful that I get to do what I love, travel to strange and unusual places, meet stange and unusual people, and be a fashion freak in the process.
When not playing in The Crusties , or Beatallica, I spend my time with a full studio of awesome students and directing the Underwood Baptist Praise Band. I dig gardening, pilates and baking, preferably not simultaneously. I am not fond of cleaning up.
Recently, I have been getting my ass beat into shape through the Filipino Martial Arts Escrima and Kali, and JKD training. In 2008 I started brewing mead, which takes so damn long I started making beer too. Its really easy.
On my cynical side, I think that all professional, broadcast sports are rigged to some extent. There is far too much money involved for it not to be so. Wrestling, Politics, and The Music Industry have been there for years. This is an unpopular concept. Most truth is.
Its too bad those funds couldn't go to feed hungry people. Why don't we boycott one season of football and send all that money to www.heifer.org ? Or how come politicians can raise $25 million easily for themselves. Perhaps they could raise such funds for arts programs? It would never happen if we were left to our own devices.
Often to shake such sullen moods, I attend Renaissance Faires , and there indulge in the finest meads and sweetmeats. Cheers!
