Lead Singer and multi-instrumentalist Bart Steele AKA...Spent Shady" grew up somewhere in the shadows of Boston. As a healthy way of avoiding family disfunction and all known responsibilities, he found refuge in his music. As the son of classically trained piano player, Bart Steele grew up singing, playing guitar, bass, piano and drums. he studied history and music at University of Vermont & Production @ Berkley College of Music. he learned about music,people, and the world around him travelling for years around this little planet with a guitar and backpack.
After selling his soul to satan for a few years and basicially workin' for the the very corrupt man that we cant mention without being us all being 'rubbed out'...he saw the light after Septemeber 11th and was reborn and realized that playing music was life...
the rest is history! Back in Boston,'The Bart Steele Band' performs regularly around town at places such as 'Walley's', 'The Green Dragon', 'The Cantab', 'The Avon', and Bart has a kick ass other band called the Chelsea City Council. Owner of Steele Recrodz, Bart's Publishing and Production co. are called Steele Productionz, and he built Steele Studioz with a design from a Home Depot 1-2-3 book.
Bart and his band are also known for writing the baseball playoff anthem, "(Man I Really) Love This Team", known to most Red Sox fans as the 'Song That Broke The Curse of the Bambino' and they were given an award by the real Chelsea City Council for helping accomplish that feat in June 2005!!!.
Check out the Chelsea City Council's new album "Everything At Once", which Bart Wrote/Recorded/Produced/Engineered/and Mixed himself with the help of a few great council members...big shout out to Rusty Daniels/Pete Bellomo/ and Steve Benson for all their help!!!
