Fidel Pugh, better known as Feezaleo, aka Da Chocolate Gummi Bear, aka Big Sexy, aka the Cutest Over 250, aka Da Cubano Boy Wonder, aka the Ghetto celeb, aka Da Livin Legend, aka Da Bay Area Biggie, aka Feezaleo Gets Ya Party Poppin. Wow!
He was born in the City (aka Frisco) in the early 80s and raised by his grandmother in the means streets of the Fillmore District. Growing up in the Western Addition housing projects, he witnessed firsthand daily acts of violence, crime, and drugs. Determined to stay away from such things, Fidel became interested in writing and pursued sports. Many of his childhood friends are now either dead or in jail. Seeing those results, Fidel was motivated to stay in school and do whatever it took to survive. As a two-sport athlete as Galileo High School in San Francisco, being in the limelight was natural. He was the starting quarterback of his football team, and always the center of attention on and off the field.
While attending college and playing football at City College of San Francisco and Kentucky State, Feezaleo decided to pursue a path to a music career. Since then, writing lyrics for this young talented phemon has become much easier. He constantly strives to polish his total image as a rapper and role model, putting in countless hours in the music studio working on the right combination of lyrics and beats while still making time for his daughter and friends.
Feezaleo just doesn’t have his sights set on the Bay, he wants to become an internationally known music star. He is driven to be the best at whatever he does, whether it is rapping, playing football, or any other competitive activites.
Feezaleo has had songs produced by Zatooven, Mal Amazin, and L-7, just to name a few. He has also worked with talented fellow rappers such as Big Rich, Slow-O, Boo-Banger, Alotto, Bailey, Poo Rich, not to mention the entire J-Anthony records family. He is also working with up and coming rap artists, both in the Bay Area and from around the country.
This young talent has a bright future ahead of him as long as he continues to work hard and keep his eyes set on the prize.
Stay tuned for Feezaleo’s next album, “Ball or Ball,†which is coming out soon.
