I love epicurian pleasures. I collect wine, but I keep dating people who are allergic to alcohol. :( I love good food and finding new restaurants. I love to travel and want to travel to a new place each year. My goal is to try to go to a new country each year, but I need to save up more money for that goal. I also love organizing events. I started with Anime Expo and then moved on to Pacific Media Expo. I also lend a hand wherever possible, in particular, I'm active with the Berkeley Alumni Association right now. I also love musicals and opera. My favorite musical is Phantom of the Opera, but the most moving one was Lion King. Recently, I caught Baz Luhrmann's La Bohemme and Wicked. I really want to catch Spamalot.
After working at Paramount Pictures and then working at Sun/Netscape during the .com boom, I found that there were fewer and fewer people in the world I really wanted to meet. The only person at Paramount I ever wanted to meet was Bob Hope, but sadly, that opportunity is now gone. I think I'd have a great time talking with Bill Clinton. George HW Bush is also a great guy that I like as well. People who can change the world are the ones I admire the most. Those who can take our minds off it are transitory by nature.http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.ind

Where the Red Fern Grows, trashy Judith Krantz novels, Thomas Hardy. I am currently struggling through Joseph Conrad's Lord Jim. I'm also completely addicted to the London Economist.
I admire my parents greatly for struggling so hard to make sure their children will lead a better life than they did. We don't agree on much else, but I will probably hold myself to the same standards they did when I eventually have children.
