About Me

Layout Created at KillerKiwi.net
So its 6:00am and I haven't slept yet. The wind is blowing furiously through my hair in the still desert heat. I'm in the middle of Arizona heading west in a souped up 1972 convertible lime green Impala. And I'm driving fast. A half empty bottle of bourbon is between my thighs and I have no idea where the cap is. I'm amidst a race with the desert sun to the bottom of the bottle...my thirst for swirling intoxication vs the evaporation rate of dry 110 degree heat. I'm betting on myself as I take another swig from the right corner of my mouth. The left side of my mouth is clenched down on my cigarette that went out around the time I crossed the border from New Mexico. God damn its hot already. I clumsily bump up my speed to 110 mph in order to create more wind. My charged Impala lurches forward jerking my head against the seat and I nearly swerve off the road as the spinning slows. I turn to my right and look down at the supposedly empty seat beside me and my eyes bulge and shoulders shoot backwards. God damn. Thats a lot of weed. Where the hell did that come from?

I stared in silence as Joan Jett's guitar rhythm filled the room. My mouth opened up and my neck strained forward to see through the dim light and settling smoke. I had finally caught up to her. What ...
