DISGUSTING LIES

DISGUSTING LIES was created in January 1992. It had four members: Marian-guit., Aro-bass, Kurzu –dr. and Przeman – voc. In June 1992 a new drummer joined it and Kurzu became the other voc. Since then we started regular rehearsals in this five-person composition, and actually this date makes the real beginning of DISGUSTING LIES. During next five years we played in a personnel mentioned above (Przeman-voc, ; Kurzu-voc, Aro-bass, Si’core-dr., Marian-guit. We had a couple of gigs and we recorded a demo tape (Byt Określa Świadomość). It was released by Demonstracja Tapes in August 1995. In 1995 we got a new guitarist Yaga. And as a six person band in November’97 we recorded the stuff for our first 7”EP „Richman/Poorman” . The record was released by Malarie rec. in March 1996. At the beginning of 1997 Kurzu left DISGUSTING LIES and Marian who played guitar at the same time took the role of the other vocalist. In June 1997 we went for our first tour. We visited and played in Poland, Germany, Belgium and France. In autumn 1997 we started the preparations to recording a new LP. After a few weeks we were working in a studio and in Winter 1998 we had a new stuff recorded. It was 12”LP - „One day...”. At the same time in Canada a compilation tape „Nightmare Reality #5” appeared. There were a few songs by DISGUSTING LIES taken from 7’’EP-Richman/Poorman. In December 1998 Yaga left the band. She moved to England, and she played in OI POLLOI for some time now she is a guitarist in a legendary band – DISORDER. In February 1999 the 7”EP split FACT/DISGUSTING LIES was released by MCR Company (Japan). Four songs from our LP were on it. In spring 1999 we went on the second tour – we played some gigs in Croatia. After returning from the tour we were waiting for the above mentioned LP. And finally in April there was a cassette (nik nic nie wie) and in June 1999 Malarie Rec. released the 12’’ vinyl. After a holidays the troubles stared. We didn’t have a place to play the rehearsals in. And the troubles lasted till the spring 2000. Then we started playing again we had a few gigs and we started working on the new songs. In autumn 2000 we were planning to release a new record and go for the tour. Unfortunately we had some misunderstandings and problems in bands and in result of it at the end of October Marian left us. We were looking for the new person and finally we found the right one at the end of April 2001. Bartek became a new guitarist of DISGUSTING LIES. We resumed the rehearsals. Till the end of the year we were ready to record a new 10”LP and we did it in january 2002. The stuff recorded during this session was released as a 10’’LP by two Italian labels Agipunk and Angry rec. The record appeared at the beginning of August 2002. When the record appeared Mila & Fulvio from AGIPUNK and ANGRY Rec. invited us to Italy to have a tour there. In march and april 2003 we played 8 gigs in Italy and Switzerland, which took plays on squats. After returning from the tour we started preparing tracks for new record, we are also going to renew the old records (7”EP – “Richman/Poorman” + 7”EP split w/FACT – “No One Complains” +12”LP – “Pewnego Dnia…” ) and (10”LP – “Don’t Ask, Just Listen!” + 12”LP split w/CAMPUS STERMINII – “No Choice, No Way !”) and release them on CD’s.
