About Me

From time to time I allow myself the indulgance of imagining myself in heroic circumstances as the honourable man of the hour. A typical example would be a cinematic vision of me dashing across a road just in time to swoop a parapalegic old lady out of the path of a speeding cement-mixer driven by a crazed asylum escapee. And afterwards, to be showered in thanks by the people of the city, only for me to shake it off with a modest word or two. But the reality is far from that... I am not a brave person and cement-mixers scare the fuck out of me. Apart from being subject to delusions of grandeur I think I'm fairly sound. I now live in a Copenhagen apartment with my girlfreind Sarah. My Danish is terrible but I try my best.

My Interests

Music primarally. I play guitar, acoustic and electric. In a band. Love the fact that our generation has music to bop to. I hope the candle burns longer than doomed flames before. We have to keep it hid. Oh yeah, and I find eccentric people interesting, and midgets... and art.The CricketSoda Myspace Editor!

I'd like to meet:

The ghosts of Greenwich Village and their dogs. The buffalo soldier's of this world. The chemist, the artist, the recluse. The monks in saffron and their rockeries. A talking horse. A reaction. You. The freaks and the frightened.

Music:

My earliest childhood memory is a Stevie Wonder song, the classic - I just called to say. I'll literally listen to anything that follows a rythmic pattern. Power to the musicians. Life wouldn't be worth it without them. My influences are broad. Here's some: Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Captain Beefheart, James Brown, The Pixies, Daft Punk, The Cure, Neil Young, The Violent Femmes, Robert Johnson, Radiohead, Blur, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Stone Roses, David Bowie, The Smashing Pumpkins, Air, Metallica, Ash, Sparklehorse, NIN, Metallica, Death in Vegas, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire, Republic of Loose, Arctic Monkeys, Devandra Banhart, Queens of the Stone Age, Gorillaz, BellX1, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Bloc Party, Saul Williams, LCD Soundsystem, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Tapes'n'Tapes, CSS, DJ Shadow, Beck, Cold War Kids. When the music's over, turn out the light.

Best gig ever???

Most people who've gone to a few gigs remember one in particular as being their favourite gig. There is always a special reason for placing this one show above the others...
