..DiamondNicque, CEO of Bossy Inc, Houston's 1 PR Mass Media and Marketing Co. was born and raised in LosAngeles, California
She is the niece of Motown writers and voaclists Brenda & Michael Sutton.
In the past, her aunt & uncle have penned hits for Smokey Robinson ["There Will Come a Day (I'm Gonna Happen To You)"], Cheryl Lynn ("Shake It Up Tonight") and a disco smash for The Originals ("Down To Love Town"). This distinguished resume includes a young Michael Jackson ("Cinderella Stay Awhile"), Jermaine Jackson ("Stay With Me"), Thelma Houston ("Today Will Soon
Be Yesterday," from her Gold-selling album Any Way You Like It), Switch ("It's So Real," from their self-titled platinum debut), former Temptations lead singer Dennis Edwards ("When The Lights Come Down On Love") and ‘The Ice Man’ himself, Jerry Butler ("I Don't Want Nobody To Know").
Most recently, Texas rapper Scarface with special guests Jay-Z & Beanie Sigel sampled The Original track' "Sunrise" (yet another song that her uncle Michael Sutton (co-penned) for the Source Award-winning hip hop hit, "Guess Who's Back.
DiamondNicque spent a lot of time with her aunt and uncle in thier recording studio surrounded by the sounds of music and the strict writing and vocal training sessions, so she always wanted to work in the music industry.
She got her foundation as a singer from her aunt and also from being a member of her church choir in her youth.
During her teen years in Los Angeles she was a memeber of the Trendy dance group The Trednsetters in the late 1980's. She was also a member of a Los Angeles local singing group Channel 4.
After many years of trying to break into the music industry as a singer, writer and arranger she finally got the courage to take the reins and start producing the tracks for her group herself.
So in 1993 she left Channel 4 and bit the bullet by moving to Texas where her parents are from originally, and got a regular job @ her family's radio broadcasting station KZRB 1035 FM.
She took on a position in Sales/Marketing and Promotions but never let go of her dream to sing, write and produce.
She became one of the stations many radio personalities as a street scene reporter.
After 7 years behind a desk she became board and decided it was time to try her hand once again @ her first love, which was to actually be a artsist herself, only now there was a big difference, she had the knowledge of radio, promotions publishing and music production under her belt.
So she took all of the moving capitol she had accumulated during her time @ the family station and invested in her own Mass Media & Marketing Company (Bossy Inc.)
She also invested in a few pieces of studio equipment. So slowly but surly she begin to promote, produce and represent clients outside of her family's radio station which gave her more control when it came to the Artists.
She also used this gateway to introduce her own style of production to the world.
Not being taken seriously @ first because she was female and girls are not supposed to be able to creat tight beats she was welcomed when it came to the promotion part of the biz but turned away when it came to actually taking time to listen to her tracks.
But still, she didn't allow this to discourage her. She then ventured deeper into the south to Houston, Texas where she struck gold.
It was there that she met her now long time friend Luscious Ice, one of the DJ's for Houston's 99.7 The Boxx, who in turn introduced her to her mentor Big H.A.W.K. of The Original Screwed Up Click ( R.I.P. ) who took DiamondNicque under his wing as his Exec. Assistant, taught her the one of a kind Houston, Texas Style of industry grind and introduced her to all of Houston's elite in the music industry.
Wes Monroe ( Momma C ) of UGK Records became her mentor and began to teach DiamondNicque the industry game as she knew it, which also led to the business union of her student DiamondNicque & her son Chad " Pimp C " Butler of UGK.
With their assistance & blessings, she then began doing PR (public relations), executive assistance work promotions, production and background and lead vocals for several of top act's and eventually started her own Mass Media / Marketing Company ( Bossy Inc. ) which still services a few of Houston's most famous business & artists even up to this current day such as:
