X-FenZ offers the underground urban market to potential sponsers. Hip Hop is widely viewed as a valubale marketing tool for the corporate world. In the past few years Hip Hop has become the premier vehicle for commercial use. Corporations such as Nike, McDonalds, and Reebok have targeted the urban market directly by incorporating Hip Hop into advertisments. Toyota has attacked the Hip Hop community with the release of the Scion car class, which is very much aimed toward the urban market. However, most corporations fail to delve deeply into the underground. The underground of Hip Hop is based less on the popular rap artist and more on the less commercialized elements of the community.
The underground scene consists of the graffiti artist, the DJays, and the Bboys. Bboys are more commonly or commercially known as breakdancers. Xfenz crew has worked its way from the bottom of the New York bboy scene to be considered the top crew in the tristate area. As a marketing tool, Xfenz crew would be able to offer sponsers access to an untapped market of Bboys that is growing at an unbelievable rate.
As the focus of a sponsership Xfenz crew could offer product placement and exposure in an age group of fifteen to twenty-five. Participants in the bboy community attend intense competitions that take place all over the United States and the World. Xfenz crew members currently wear a crew shirt which would be an optimal space for product advertisement similar to the jumpsuits in Nascar. The crew is also developing a crew jacket for the same purpose. The three main arenas for such product placement are the internet, DVDs, and videos of the competitions. All three mediums would greatly expose the sponsers and the products they are associated with. Quite often when Bboys win competitions they are interviewed for the video or internet. When Xfenz crew wins competitions they would mention all sponsers that have helped the crew achieve such goals.
