So many! Music, books (reading them and writing them. One day I'll put a chapter or two in my blog...wait on it), magazines (reading them, writing for them, one day editing them...), people, African American culture and families, my siblings, yoga, the AU, so much stuff I can't even put it all out here
Angela Y. Davis, bell hooks, Toni Morrison, Gwen Stefani, Omar Tyree, Jane Pratt and Sigmund Freud...but until they call me back I'd like to talk to all of you nice people out there
Wow, I like a little bit of everything. I would like to BE Gwen Stefani. Isn't that funny?
Seriously, though, I like a little bit of everything, and there isn't anything I wouldn't listen to.
I love love love old school music, Marvin Gaye, the Stylistics, Smokey Robinson...Motown pretty much makes my day. I also like jazz, I'm a big Billie Holiday fan and I like Charlie Parker, Sarah Vaughn, Bessie Smith...ya know, the greats. I'm a HUGE Jay Z fan, most people that know me know that and I think that's funny. Who else? A bunch of people that don't even go together but you can catch in my rotation at almost any time of day. Dana Dane, Doug E. Fresh and the Get Fresh Crew, D Nice (...is just a description), Boogie Down Productions, bunch of old heads. Lauryn Hill, of course, Amel Larrieux, PRINCE ( I cannot EVER forget Prince, Adore is the best song EVER) and of course 2Pac. Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, The Roots, believe me, there's more. This list is annotated.

I LOVE movies, but my collection has been slight lately. I gotta get back on that.

I don't watch much tv because I'm hardly ever home, but if I was home I'd be an MTV junkie. If someone could keep me up on the Real World and Road Rules I'd be eternally grateful. To supplement, I've started collecting what I call "TV on DVD" so that by the time I have children, they won't have to watch CRAP, they can watch stuff I LIKE!!! I've got all of Sex and the City on DVD, you should know that's my favorite modern show, Girlfriends and Grey's Anatomy tie for a close second though. I also watch soap operas as though I'm some sort of upper middle class hoursewife...General Hospital is like Goodfellas with a more attractive cast. I'm working on Mary Tyler Moore, Felicity, The Jeffersons, Good Times (even though that show is kinda depressing if you don't look at it from a sociological perspective), Speed Racer and Thundercats.

Reading is like breathing to me, so it's tough for me to pick one favorite. I gave it a try, and here's what I came up with:
