About Me

Born in Houston, Tx I got the bug for music at an early age, staying up late to check out local hip-hop shows on KPFT and KTRU with dj's Lord Visnu, Dj Cipher and Baby Roo, this is where my obsession for hip-hop began. I used to record over my mothers gospel tapes and show up to school the next day with the new joints, hip-hop quickly became what I spent most of my time on and at the age of 15 I worked two jobs, one at Journeys shoe store and one at Krogers grocery store to save up enough money to buy my first set of 12's. Soon after that I lost mad weight in the hot ass garage in Houston listening to joints and working on perfecting my skills, pretending I was Mista Sinista and Roc Raida. I can remember sneaking out of the house to check out shows from Black Moon, Common, Red and Meth and Brand Nubian. In 1996 I decided to head out to D.C. to go to Howard and put myself in better situation to let my skills develop. Howard was like a real life Source Magazine to me, everybody was fresh to def at like 8 in the morning, I loved it. I began working at the student run radio station at Howard becoming the music director and soon after getting a j.o at WPGC 95.5 doing production work. I linked up with this cat Peter Rosenberg at PGC and he invited me to come and hang out with him at his college show, there I met up with Ken Wood, Kev Brown and Critically Acclaimed. Soon after i filled in for a Critically show and began touring with em to Canada, New York, Virgina, Cali and Philly. Now you can currently check me on my show According to The Law on Beattactics.com and weekly in D.C. at Bacivini.com and various spots in D.C. and abroad.
