LEGENDARY CHICO SONGS FROM SID LEWIS AND CRAZYGRASS NOW AVAILABLE, A BUCK A SONG! HELP SUPPORT UNRECOGNIZED GENIUS AND BUY A SONG!! Who is Sid?? Sid Lewis has been been scuttling through this particular rat race ever since he landed in Chico an a rainy September day in 2000.. After many hairy adventures with junkie jazz guitarists and rich old women he finally met some New Agers who helped get him off the street. That was when he figured out the power of the banjo, overthrew the shadows of cult voices and spectres of the past, and proceeded to spawn the Fire Monkeys, then jammed proceeded to party/hung out with Spark N’ Cinder, the Mother Hips, Chris Schadt Band, Stevie Cook, Electric Circus, and many many street artists and musicians. His family is mostly nuts, but that couldn’t stop the rock, and now he’s everywhere! Now he plays, teaches, lives, eats and breathes MUSIC (oh, if you want guitar/banjo/mandolin/bass/dobro/voice/songwriting lessons, call him at (530) 894-2526) What does he have to say? "Hey, the worlds a crappy place, full of crazy people (some of whom run the country), but what can we do about? Not much, just keep on keepin on!! I'll be pickin the banjer while rome burns, and truth and FUN will always overcome madness! If you think the world is out to get you, then IT PROBABLY IS!!" Sid has been teaching and performing music since his teens. He has shared the stage with Joe Craven, Tony Furtado, Radim Zenkl, Michael Hedges, and many other acoustic stars. He holds the 1990-92 California State Flatpicking guitar championship, and has taught or performed at Strawberry Music Festival, California Worldfest, and universities everywhere. The Sid Lewis Jamming 101,, System has been receiving critical acclaim, drawing crowds everywhere, and has proven to turn the most timid beginner into a smiling Jammer. Sid's Jamming 101,, has been taught live across the country, podcast worldwide, and featured on National Public Radio. His "bluegrass rock" band, Crazygrass, can be seen at many summer music festivals. (see www.crazygrass.com, www.jamming101.com)
