About Me

First published at 16, Barry Stiglets has become a matured and prolific writer. He is the author of several screenplays (of varying quality), short stories, and political papers. Born in Houston, Barry was influenced by a wide range of artists in several mediums; from the Seattle Grunge movement of the early 90's, the surrealist art of H.R. Geiger, the books of Shel Silverstein, the poetry of Pablo Neruda, the Todd Mcfarlane run of Spiderman, the vibrant work of Monet and the films of Speilberg, Lucas, Wes Craven, James Cameron, Cameron Crow and Akira Kurosawa. Barry is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a BA in political science. He currently resides in Denton, TX where he plays his guitar (not very well) and hangs out at the local used bookstore.(There is not much to me. I am a lover, a fighter, a writer, a West Ham fan, a college graduate, broke, ambitious, I might be handsome, I have nice hands, I play the guitar and I can't wait for the day when I can write for a living full time.)
