I am here for Friends

About Me

My name is Christopher and I'm awesome. Like, totally awesome. Like, totally friggin' awesome. If I was able to describe to you how totally friggin' awesome I was, then you'd instantly fall over dead because man is incapable of comprehending my awesomosity (see, I'm so awesome I coin new words).

But in reality I'm really not that totally friggin' awesome. Hell, I'm not even awesome. I'm pretty much a failure who happened to find someone that makes me totally friggin' awesome and that Person's name is Jesus. He's totally friggin' awesome; He saved me from myself.

You should really get to know Him--just don't look to me because I still tend to tarnish His name.

(Oh, and my name is Calvin on here because Calvin & Hobbes gets me more excited than a shopping cart full of puppies being pushed through a bacon factory.)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Norman Geisler, Ravi Zacharias, James Hetfield, Alton Brown, Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy, and a whole bunch of dead people.

We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.

I like two types of conversation: those about absolute nonsense, and those about life, the universe, and everything. If you're a person who can leap back and forth from one to the other in seconds then I will probably stalk you from bushes and watch you in your sleep. You have been warned.

My Blog

The Absurdity of Life Without God.

Why Should We Believe Anything At All?

Let love in.

I really like this song, but it fails to account for one thing.  Love is a person.. A person that very few wish to actually let in.  He is what we need if we wish to change the wor...

Growing dim under a bushel of fears.

I'll be twenty-five in a couple months. Half way to fifty. A quarter of a century old. I look back on my life and then tilt my head to the future and all that I see is an empty horizon blurred by a...
