About Me

Aside from her loving family, literature has always been her first love.
Best Selling Author, Poet, Screenwriter, and Educator Terry a O’Neal was born and raised in Stockton, California, where her inspiration for lyrics, prose, and literature was born. Her poetry has been published in numerous magazines, journals and newspapers. Previous publications include two volumes of poetry, Motion Sickness and The Poet Speaks In Black; two children’s books, Ev’ry Little Soul and My Jazz Shoes; and the award winning family fiction novel, Sweet Lavender.
Recently, she has completed her third volume of poetry, Good Mornin’ Glory, that will be released in February 2006.
Terry a O’Neal is the editor of the annual youth poetry anthology, Make Some Noise! an anthology by inspired youth from all around the United States, Canada and Australia.
In addition to her writing accomplishments, she is the Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit organization, Lend Your Hand, Inc. Educating the World’s Children.
Her upcoming works include the children’s book, “My Jazz Shoes,” a celebration of be-bop and jazz; the non-fiction novel, “Making Mo,” a moving story of a young boy’s remarkable journey from a world of tragedy to triumph; and a volume of poetry based on her own life entitled “In a World of My Own.”
