Brandin Pope, 23, is a professional recording artist and model. He completed his first demo at the age of 11, and has since written and co-produced much of his own material. At 18, he clinched a top ten spot in Chicago Idol…which was sponsored by 103.5 KISS FM. That same year, he won the Quad City Idol Contest and a ticket to Hollywood. Once there, he discovered a passion for modeling.From that time until now, he has continued to juggle a full-time university course load at Illinois State University with modeling and studio recording sessions. New York agencies such as Boss Models and Models on the Way Management have provided extensive opportunities for him nation-wide. Chicago, Toronto and Florida have also been great to him.Brandin is now a featured face and ambassador for Jack-n-Jill, an LA-based clothing line inspired by upper-class black culture. Recently, he returned to Manhattan and connected with his good friends at a major record label. When asked for the secret to his success, Brandin simply stated...“Just as there is more to modeling than having a pretty face, there is more to me than taking good pictures or singing great songs. A sometimes reckless ambition fuels my endeavors with a youthful vibrancy that can never be diminished by circumstance. What am I saying? I'm saying that by channeling my ambitions into specific projects, I become the best person to represent that brand, character or song. Ambition, and there is no doubt I have plenty of that, is the fuel; and creativity the compass. Sometimes my compass points east. Sometimes it points west or north.
