Let's see -- I'm a musa-holic...I just dig on music as long as it's good. I dislike categorizing and prefer alphabitising. My tastes run the spectrum and my cd collection speaks for itself.
Love the classics...Turner TV and I are almost best buddies late at night. Love early 30's to early 50's black and whites. Dr. Strangelove is in my collection. Yea, I know they might not be the most imaginative cinematic creations but I just adore John Hughes movies: Pretty in Pink, 16 Candles, and The Breakfast Club, then there is Weird Science, and The Princes Bride. YES, I'm an 80's and early 90's kid. I just like a good movie that lets me escape from this world. With that I must mention I'm a sci-fi geek...yea, I can tell you what scene in Star Wars is taking place by a laser blast sequence. I fess up. And, that's all you're getting from me.
Candy for the brain or odd-ball shows. The first channel I flip to is the Sci-fi Network: I'm a total Battlestar Galactica geek, then there's Stargate, Atlantis and Dr. Who. Dirt, Nip/Tuck, Oprah (what can I say but sorry), The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Masterpiece Theatre, South Park, and Grey's Anatomy. I fess up, General Hospital. The Food Network, The History Channel, PBS, BBC, News 8, and NATG.
The Autobiography of Gahndi has probably been the most influential piece of literature on my life. A bunch of political theory philosophy crap like Thoreau's Civil Disobedience and Walden; Nietzche; Plato; and Locke. Latin American Studies- The Fifth Sun by Brundage and the Latin American Exchange. *Insert Geek Alert* I love sci-fi that has social commentary: the original Dune series, Ender's Game, Brave New World, and 1984. Randomness- Friday Night Lights, The Once and Future King, The Great Gatsby, A Room With a View. Oh- and Shel Silverstein's poetry (if you can call it that). I'm forcing myself to stop.
People who live their lives trying to make THIS world a better place. And, those that "remember" horrors and try to prevent them from happening again.
