After playing in numerous punk and metalbands I decided to do something completely different. It all started (as it usually does) as an experiment, something I did at home when I was bored.
I got involved in the project Soundsister and got the opportunity to record vocals to the tracks, to mix and master the record in their studio with the assistance of the lovely Emilia Angel. It is a very well-produced record and at first I kept calling it my first "demo" but realized that it isn't - since I am not at all interested in getting signed. I am very fond of DIY methods and after all the superhard work and the great sound quality I have come to call it my first record instead.
This first record, Murder Divine was released during this spring, 2006. I am working on new material right now - but will be focusing more on doing live performances for the time being.
My musical background originates from the punkscene, riotgrrrl-movement, and most recently metal. I guess one could say that this music is influenced by all that in different ways - lyrically and maybe sometimes musically - but I've also a got a fair share of influence by the eurotechno from those classdiscos back in the 90s. Lots of spiked soda, blood, tears and broken hearts.
Every song has its own story, its own background, point and set of characters. Lyrically some things might be considered blunt, but let me remind you - things aren't always what they seem to be.
I try to do things that speak to a very different range of people's hearts and I hope that people can find parts of themselves in my music, even though they are very different from me. I want my listeners to be able to read their own lives into the lyrics. Shake your ass to it, Love to it, Hate to it, Break to it. Whatever you please.
