About Me

Reformed lawyer living in Chicago and avid endurance sports athlete. Completed TWO ironman...and getting ready for number 3"Ironman will trivialize past hardships and prepare you to minimize those to come. It makes dreams come true. You have what it takes to bridge aspirations into accomplishments. Crossing that line embraces self: confidence, sacrifice, reliance, invention, worth. Finishing makes you your own hero."-Kara Douglas Thom, in Becoming an Ironman.Rarely watch TV though I do make an exception for Futurama, Family Guy, the Simpsons and just about anything on the History Channel (except for those stupid Nostradamus shows.) In warm weather i hardly even see that black box. Would rather enjoy every ounce of warm weather here...which being Chicago is about 2 months.Voracious reader...I always got a couple books in my backpack. Current selection I'm working on: The End of Faith - Sam Harris China Shakes the World - James Kynge How Mumbo-Jumbo Conquered the World - Francis Wheen American Gods - Neil GaimonContents of backpack when Im biking: two books, MP3 player, extra headphones, jacket (I have suffered a 20 degree temp drop even in JULY..beware lake michigan's freaky weather system), Cliff bars, water and a towel (I learned that from Hitckhikers Guide to the Galaxy..lol)...and I'm set for the day...
