Howdy, my name is Jay which should come as no surprise if you've already read the top of my page. My real name is Jason but that's reserved for my bank manager and strangers. Seeing as we're here to make friends lets keep it as Jay. Jase is completely out of bounds so if you want to speak to you don't even try it! Anyway that's all thoroughly dull so what can I tell you about myself.....?
I grew up on the south coast in a town called Worthing. It's wasn't bad but wasn't great either. With nothing to keep me there I moved to London in 2000 to study music technology. Probably the best move I've ever made. After Uni I stayed in London as it's a great place to persue my interest.....music. I've been in bands since I was 15 and music continues to be my passion. I play keyboards for a number of different acts as well as writing and producing my own material (check my music page 'FM Umlaut' & 'Umlaut & Stitch' in my top 8). I also like collecting vinyl and ended up falling into DJing. I play funk, hiphop, nu-jazz, reggae, broken beat and whatever else I like at the time. Its not a full time job but is a lot of fun and a good way of making some extra cash as well as keeping me sane when not working my day job. Ok...I know what you're thinking....frustrated musician/dreamer who works in McDonalds while picturing himeslf on the mainstage at Glastonbury......am I right? I'm a realist and I know that the world doesn't owe me a favour. By day I work as an executive for a Telecoms company. It's a very different world to everything I do outside of work but keeps my feet and on the ground and a roof over my head. You have to work for your dreams and even if they don't come to fruition I've enjoyed trying.
