Hello.
I am Heavy G... Drum n bass, Break beats, Hip hop and Metal MC.
I live in glorious South Africa, and am a proud member of the unstoppable INISHI8 Drum n Bass Crew. We're the fukken Death Metal of this Drum n Bass shit, and we are going to kill you.
I travel the clubs of Johannesburg MC'ing over drum 'n bass, breaks and hip hop beats. I have opened shows for international acts such as Diesel Boy & MC Messinian, DJ Raiden and Freq Nasty, and performed alonside local talents like Tripwire and 'MXO'. I'm ready to battle anyone at anytime. Bring it at your own peril.
Aside from freestyling and writing rhymes, my passion is metal. Metallica and Pestroy are my favourite bands - Metallica because they raised me and they still own metal, and Pestroy because they are simultaneously the greatest band on the planet, and an amazing bunch of people i proudly call my friends. Slipknot, The Narrow, Mudvayne, One Minute Silence, Korn, Tool, Pantera, Sepultura/Soulfly, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, 36 Crazyfists, Method Man and Devildriver are also right up there.
I play bass guitar, and I'm pretty passionate about it even if i'm not brilliant. Yet. Together with my homies Champ666 (guitar) and Blatant Hatred (drums), i make up one third of FINAL RESTING PLACE. A Metal band who are going to take your life and condemn your soul. Soon. I've had the privelage of getting some lessons from Pestroy's bass champion Shane, and their sickeningly metal guitarists Jim and Gump who rock beyond words. Other than that, i enjoy the usual man-stuff... movies, playstation, drinking, ladies etc... I also have some unusual passions, like poetry writing and cartooning.
I'm also pretty passionate about aquatics (fish keeping,) a passion i share with several of my friends, most notably my late, beloved homie Bundy (R.I.P my friend) who could keep a freshwater cichlid tank like no other man alive.
