Considering that I am quite enjoying being 21, the usual list of crime and debauchery applies. I like watching movies, reading, hanging out with my friends, playing late at night in sketchy pool halls, singing in the car and in the shower while people gawk (in the car not in the shower now wouldn't that be awkward), hip flasks, and doing shots in the parking lot before shows with my friends, its all about pre-gaming it man...for sure...haha.
I'd like to meet:
A time traveler b/c I want to see if the future is gonna suck as hard as the present does. Oh, and YOU, of course!!!
adopt your own virtual pet!
Music:
I like a lot of different music, I'm pretty ecclectic, I will give anything a try.
Movies:
I love all genres from every time period. But I seriously love, love, love 80s movies. I love comedies, romance, action, adventures, John Cusack, Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman, Edward Norton, Mike Myers, Jaquin Pheonix, Jake Gylinhall, Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Danny Kaye, Marlon Brando and a lot that I am sure I left out. It seems to me like I have seen pretty much every movie, I swear, you can try and stump me though. I think I have definitely seen way too many movies to have a favorite. Here are a few of my favorite movie quotes:
"Go that way, really fast; if something gets in your way . . . turn."
-Charles De Mar (Better Off Dead)"Hey, drinking and driving don't mix. That's why I ride a bike."
-Duckie (Pretty in Pink)"True love is the greatest thing in the world. Except for a nice MLT... mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich where the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomato is ripe....they're so perky. I love that."
-Miracle Max (Princess Bride)" Darling, nothing is final until you are dead. Even then, I'm sure God negotiates."
-Anjelica Houston as Baroness De Ghent (Ever After)"If you start out depressed everything has got to have a pleasant surprise"
-Lloyd Dobbler (Say Anything)"I believe you have my stapler?"
-Milton (Office Space)
Television:
I used to be addicted to adult swim but after my seventh stint in rehab I think it may have finally stuck, we shall see. I do however love the Sopranos...I was so excited about the upcoming final season. Some other shows I enjoy are Heroes, Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck, Grey's Anatomy, Deperate Housewives, Sex and the City, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Futurama, Fairly Oddparents, Danny Phantom, Case Closed, Bones, Ugly Betty, My Name is Earl, Entourage, Venture Brothers, Boston Legal and the Simpsons.
Books:
I will tell you one thing, it makes me so sad that more people don't read now a days. I swear we are facing a decline in human intelligence and imagination...I think this is fairly obvious when you really examine what people think is important....like omg isn't it so sad about Paris Hilton...omg. Well n e ways...about books. Most of the stuff I enjoy reading is fluff, but oh well I figure reading is supposed to be fun, or was it "is supposed to be fundamental" whatever, at any rate I love love love to read. Some times I read very mature and profound material. I love absolutely anything by Kurt Vonnegut; The Sirens of Titan, Player Piano, Slaughterhouse Five, and Breakfast of Champions to name a few. Some other books that I love are the Hitchhikers Guide Series, All Dan Brown's Books aka The Davinci Code, Angels and Demons, Deception Point, and Digital Fortress, Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, Terry Pratchett's Disc World Series, The Catcher and the Rye, Brave New World, 1984, Farenheit 451, Edgar Allan Poe, The Princess Bride (yes there is a book version of The Princess Bride). This list could definitely go on indefinitely. One of my all time favorite books is Stranger in a Strange Land...it is amazing, you should really read it some time. Take a break from xbox, lame computer games, text messaging, or whatever and pick up a book...I swear your brain will thank you for it...though your dexterity may decline...haha.
Heroes:
"Captain Planet...he's my hero, gonna take pollution down to zero, he's our power magnified and he's fighting on the planet's side." He is totally the reason I became an Environmental Scientist, for serious. I would totally be Earth...you gotta dig soil chemistry, man; cause soil scientists do it dirty!!!!...haha...im a lame soil nerd so sue me. Oh, and of course my lil' sister is one of my hero, she really is an inspiration to me, for serious. Oh, and Chuck Norris, because Chuck Norris is not afraid of the dark, the dark is afraid of Chuck Norris and because Chuck Norris discovered a new theory of relativity involving multiple universes in which Chuck Norris is even more badass than in this one. When it was discovered by Albert Einstein and made public, Chuck Norris roundhouse-kicked him in the face. We know Albert Einstein today as Stephen Hawking.
