Ummmm.....So much to say, where do I start.... I absolutely LOVE steak and potatoes, dark chocolate, coffee and beer!! In regards to potatoes, I’m not picky, I love any kind!! Whether they're fries, baked, scalloped, in a salad, mashed, anything!! I do not like vodka though, weird huh? Matter of fact, I hate vodka! If I were to bleed, it'd most likely be coffee. (It must be the Colombian in me). I drink too much coffee, but I love it! :D And for those of you that think beer pong is a guys game, you're WRONG, I'm pretty damn good, I'll take on any challenge!!
I’m not your typical girl, but I’m sure every other girl says that. To make a long story short, I’m feminine, but am not girly. I'm kind of a tomboy I guess....I love beer, sports, curse like a sailor and am proud of my loud burps!
I love to laugh! Laughing is the best. It’s so free and liberating. My friends are truly the best. And by friends I mean, I don’t use or throw out the term loosely. I have developed a new fascination w/TEXAS HOLD’EM. I'm a beginner so don't take advantage of me! Card games are fun. Drinking games with cards...even better! I love to dance my butt off, sing, perform. I love it all. I love to cook, but unfortunately don't have enough time to do so. Reality TV is a weakness. I'm a reality TV junkie. I can't help it, it's so addicting.
I'm tri-lingual....kind of. I obviously speak and write English but also speak Spanish. As far as Italian and American Sign Language go, I haven’t completely mastered them yet, meaning I’m not fluent, but am proficient. I love sports. Both watching and playing. I’m pretty athletic, although my athleticism is wearing off as the years go by. High school was a long time ago. Basketball is my favorite. While in high school I played all four years and ran track for two.
My birthday is on Valentine's Day, which is both a curse and a blessing. I associate my birthday to have something to do with me being a hopeless romantic. Yeah, it's cheesy, I know. Shut up.
I really, really, want to learn how to play the drums. I also want to learn how to drive stick, surf and snow board. I’m a very spontaneous and outgoing person.
I’ve gone paragliding, bungee jumping, as well as black and white water rafted in New Zealand. I believe in music being therapeutic, there's something about certain lyrics, beats and rhythms that just hit the spot. Poetry is an amazing "getaway". I used to write a lot, but there's just no time to do any of it anymore. Same goes for reading, there's nothing like getting lost in a story and forgetting everything.
I don't believe ignorance is bliss, I believe ignorance is stupidity. For those that may argue this, there is a distinct difference between ignorance and being misinformed.
Men in uniforms? WOW, a man in a uniform never hurt anyone! :) (I have a secret thing for firemen.) I’m a sucker for a man in a suit and tie. I’ll settle for the shirt and tie though. I’m an even bigger sucker for cologne... mmmm.... Can’t forget about teeth! (I’m a big teeth person) :D
I love shoes....what girl doesn’t right? But I’m not just talking about heels, I love shoes in general. I actually think you can tell a lot of someone’s personality with the type of shoes they wear, that’s just me though. I collect shot glasses of places I’ve been (who doesn’t right?)
I’m a coffee person, so yes, I collect mugs too! ...and straws, random I know, but they’re cool! I don’t trust guys that drive Mustangs. I seriously think guys that drive bugs are gay! (Nothing personal if you’re straight and own one.)
I see age being nothing more than a pair of numbers. I identify age as a state of being and maturity level, or lack there of, for some.... It’s okay to be a goof sometimes, but you have to have a balance. Although I’m young, I don’t like to play games or waste time, I like to know where I stand, meaning I don’t have time to play games. There’s a difference between knowing what you want and what you don’t want. Although I may not always know what I want, I know what I DON’T want, and that usually helps me figure out what it is I truly desire.
I’m extremely independent. I don’t rely on mommy and daddy; they’ve got enough to deal with as it is. I’ve been working since I was 16 and have worked my ass off ever since. I’ve earned everything I have, (not that it’s much) but it’s mine, and was earned in an honest and clean manner.
Many consider me a softy, and I can’t deny that, that smallest of gestures mean the world to me. The most frequently asked question I get is: “What’s your ethnic background?” I always thought it was obvious, but it apparently isn’t. I get the most outrageous assumptions: Indian, Filipino, Middle Eastern, just to name a few. I do appreciate them though. I’m Colombian and Salvadoran with a tiny pinch of French. I recognize I have an ethnic mix, but I didn’t think it was THAT ethnic, lol. (FYI: The proper terminology of “people” from El Salvador is Salvadoran, Salvadorian is not proper and is not a word in the English dictionary.)
My dream in life would be to buy a house of my own, buy a house for my parents, provide my siblings with a college education, star in a comedic sitcom, and have ONE lifelong marriage w/ a couple of little roos running around someday. This may be too much to aspire too, but not impossible. I believe life is too short to waste. Live every day as if it were you're last, take everything as a blessing/growing/learning experience. Everything happens for a reason. God knows what he's doing, trust the man upstairs. :)
Oh, I forgot to mention... I hate cats!!!
I kind of have a phobia... And no, I don't know where it stemmed from, nor did I have a bad experience. So just leave me alone and keep your cat away from me!
I love dogs though!!!
