MONEY IN MY HEART,LOVE IN MY POCKET

About Me

October 4, 1987 was the birth of Duane Walter Myers aka Trigga. In his younger years he was raised in East Baltimore in a poverty environment. His dad Left when he was 2 and his mom started dating a drug addict. Duane lived in an apt. with his brother and 2 sisters. He and his siblings were often brutally beaten. Duane receiving most of the punishments such as bare knuckle beatings, belts across the face, punished with not receiving dinner, and or being locked in a closet for days at a time. He witnessed on the regular his step dad shooting up heroin in the kitchen. At 4 years old his mom went crazy at the dinner table and stabbed her boyfriend in the back. Duane had to go to sleep at night while hearing his 7 year old sister in the next room getting molested by his step dad’s brother, but couldn’t do anything about it, fearing he would receive a brutal beaten. At age 5 he and his family moved out to Essex in Baltimore where he started kindergarten. Duane would often go to school with marks on his face from child abuse and wore dirty cloths and no hair cut. Then One day he was called in the Schools office where social service was waiting on him. That day at 5 years old he was taken from his family. He and his siblings would not have meet up till 12 years later.
From ages 5 till 8 Duane was in 5 different foster homes. He laid in bed every night during those years wondering what his siblings where doing. He would cry himself to sleep and thought no one in the world wanted him. At age 8 he realized his life was f***ed and he lost his faith in God. He was finally adopted at 9 years old and had his last name changed from Myers to McKelvin. From 9 till 13 he went to school and did choirs. For once in his life he had something to look forward too. He started working at 13 at a pizza shop. He continued school and work. Duane was able to graduate high school at 16. He wanted to start college and go the right route. In the mist of his decision he and his adopted parent’s got in a bad fight and Duane was badly beaten, so he ran way never to returned. He was almost 17 it was the Summer 2004. He was out of school going down the wrong path and was living in a house full of drug addicts. Duane started pushing drugs to make ends meet and pay his rent. The months of August and September he realized he had the gift of writing music after hearing Lil Wyte "Doubt Me Now". So he would spend late nights after weighting and bagging up his product writing music. It Was The Birth of Trigga.
Duane now know as Trigga turned 17 in 2004. By December he realized he wanted to get out of the drug game and the only way he knew was to run away from everything, so he joined the Navy in January 05. He kept up writing raps while visiting various city’s and states such as Memphis, Louisiana, Florida, North/South Carolina and winning several more rap battles. Trigga was finally stationed in Southern Maryland where he meet his now really good friend Traffic who at the time had is own studio. They jump right into Trigga’s first project. Within months dropped Trigga’s album Trigganizm. They often traveled up to Baltimore and performed several open mics. It was coming to the End of 2005. Trigga and Traffic parted ways, but remained good friends. In December 05 Trigga launched his indie label Dat Wunz Productions. Trigga Picked up 3 down south artist. The First 6 months of 2006, Trigga and his crew were on the move. They spent day in day out drinking and recording music. Summer 06 Trigga got out the Navy and moved back to Baltimore.
