Chet Pourciau is an interior designer in New Orleans, LA. He strives to approach every design with a fresh and unique perspective, no matter the scope of the project. Whether it’s finding that perfect color for your walls or a complete home makeover, Chet has the creative eye for a design solution that is right for you.
By any measure, he’s a gem in the design world, and specializes in vintage and modern furniture and lighting, mixing items that straddle both worlds of contemporary and traditional. Clean-lined furnishings, modernist light fixtures and custom window treatments are his forte.., as is providing chic items from a select group of artists he enlists.
Featured in New Orleans Homes and Lifestyles, Gambit Weekly and The Times Picayune’s Wish Magazine, Chet is committed to designing totally personalized and customized interiors. He ensures every attention to detail is made, without compromising on design.
Chet Pourciau was born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana and his antecedents have had a continuing influence on his design from creating a line of candles, which incorporate the unique fragrances of South Louisiana, to furniture referencing memories of his grandmother and aunt.
Today, Chet calls New Orleans home and resides there with his partner, Jack Sullivan. Chet is an avid body builder and has won numerous awards. In addition to working out, Chet also enjoys traveling and design, of course! Before starting his own design firm, Chet was a manager for Gucci and worked for Leon Irwin, III Interiors and Ray Langley Design.
Chet attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Delgado Community College where he received an Associate of Arts degree in Interior Design.
After four years in the design world, Chet, who is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, is now prepared to take his career to the next level. His creative designs and his eye for decorating continue to grow with each new project. He has perfected an undeniably original style and his passion for design is evident in each new masterpiece he creates. Chet is poised for a breakout.
