A Little Friction

A Little Friction is vocalist-songwriter-keyboardist Amy Tobin and drummer-producer Kevin Carnes. Amy sings raw and theatrical, Kevin plays crazy and controlled. Collaborators since 1999, the band became official in early 2006 with the release of "When sparks fly." The album is a sexy swinging journey through long-distance lust, politics, and the end of childhood. "Very Kurt Weill...phenomenal vocal...a dynamic, electric record," said Collectedsounds.com. A Little Friction evolved out of Tobin's theatrical experiments in San Francisco bars and bathhouses, and Carnes' appearances with friends like George Clinton and the P-Funk Allstars, DJ Cheb i Sabbah, Soulstice, and Consolidated.
