I'm a native resident of the San Francisco Bay Area. Born in San Francisco and raised in the East Bay, I discovered my passion for DJing back in 1986.
Like most DJ's today, I began my DJing career practicing in my bedroom with my radio shack mixer and belt drive turntables; making Rap, R&B and High Energy/Freestyle mix tapes to pass out to friends and party goers. I started my own Mobile DJ company early in my DJ career back in 1987 and eventually I sold the company in 1999 so that I can focus on DJing mainly for established venues (i.e. Clubs, Lounges, Bars, Restaurants, etc.).
From Hip Hop/R&B to Top 40 to House to Pop to Rock to 80's to Mash-ups to Funk/Disco, to Old School, my taste of music is very broad and I like to be extremely versatile when it comes to mixing music. I like to think that a truly talented DJ is one that can mix all types of music and not just stick with one music style. I mix music to please the crowd and I like to create my mixes on the fly with only two things in mind "Create energy and keep the dance floor poppin!".
Some of my DJ influences come from well known local and national DJ's such as Cameron Paul (One of the true O.G.s of Bay Area DJ's), Theo Mizuhara (From back in the day), Jazzy Jim (Another O.G. still tearing it up in the Bay to this day!), Joe Cooly, Jazzy Jeff, Funk Master Flex, Bad Boy Bill, Q-Bert, and Mix Master Mike just to name a few.
Besides my DJing, I also like to rock the crowd on the mic as an emcee and host for events and at clubs (Not a rapper MC!). In addition to my love for DJing, I also have a passion for producing and remixing music. Taking the hottest tracks and adding a whole different twist to it or adding some more beats and samples to add more flavor to the songs is what its all about.
